This is a rare opportunity to secure a foot in the door within a public sector facility. While this role begins as a contract position, it offers a pathway to potential permanent vacancies within the department. This position prioritises your work-life balance with a structured 9-day fortnight roster.

The Work

This is a general maintenance role within a Facilities Management team. You will focus on the day-to-day upkeep of a government campus, ensuring the facility remains safe and operational.

  • Routine preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across the site.

  • General building repairs, including doors, locks, and hardware.

  • Basic cabinetry repairs and furniture maintenance.

  • Minor patching, painting, and flooring repairs as required.

  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary trades team (Electricians, Plumbers) to keep the facility running smoothly.


What You Need

We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious Carpenter who takes pride in maintaining high-standard public infrastructure.

  • Trade Qualified: Cert III in Carpentry.

  • Safety: Current White Card.

  • Compliance: Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.

  • Health: Must provide records of Hep B immunisation.

  • Rights: Full Australian Working Rights.
